Lawnscaping Challenge: Try a New Technique!

Hi, everybody! Today, I'm sharing my card for the new Lawnscaping Challenge! The theme for this one is "try a new technique", and it was certainly a challenge to find a new technique!

I decided on "bokeh stamping". Bokeh backgrounds are a pretty hot trend in photography, and it's based on the way the camera lens interprets out of focus points of light. Some photographers add shaped filters on the lens to change the blurred lights to stars, hearts, snowflakes or other shapes they love.

You can find LOTS of examples of bokeh photos on Pinterest, and I found some great examples of bokeh-inspired stamping HERE.

My card features the unicorn and a sentiment from Lawn Fawn's "Critters Ever After" set, and I used the solid star stamp from the "Summertime Charm" set to create the bokeh effect.

And, I have some related happy news...my "Clean and Simple" card for Lawnscaping Challenge #78 was named the winner, aka the "Queen of Green"! YAY!

Here's the card again:

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope you're having a wonderful week!

Hugs,
